To take the fun even further, there’s the rally-inspired Huracán Sterrato, which has a higher suspension, a roof-mounted snorkel air intake, and special tires for light off-roading. Driving it is a blast! The entire Huracán lineup shares this lively personality and eye-catching looks, making it stand out against rivals like Ferrari and McLaren.
What’s New for 2024?
There aren’t many big changes to the Huracán for 2024, but the EVO model is now only available as a convertible Spyder, not as a coupe. Unfortunately, this year might be the last for the Huracán. To celebrate, Lamborghini will make a very limited run of 10 special edition Huracán STJs. These STJ cars will have adjustable dampers, racing tires on 20-inch wheels, and improved aerodynamic features to enhance their performance on the track. The Huracán will be replaced by a new plug-in hybrid model in 2025, which will have a completely new name.

In our experience with this Italian supercar, we recommend the rear-drive Huracán Tecnica. It’s a simpler version of the STO but has a more comfortable and road-friendly feel, plus it’s more affordable. The Tecnica is also the only Huracán besides the STO that comes in rear-wheel drive. With features like rear-wheel steering, improved aerodynamics, a better exhaust system, and a new brake cooling system, the Tecnica still offers great performance but is more suited for everyday driving than the track-focused STO.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
The Huracán is rated by the EPA at 13 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city and 18 mpg on the highway, giving it a combined rating of 15 mpg. While most buyers of a new Lamborghini may not worry about fuel economy, it’s important to note that all Huracán models are charged a gas guzzler tax because of their low fuel efficiency.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Inside, the Huracán features a detailed design with many technical elements—some are for looks, but most are for performance. The cabin can be customized with different colors and materials to suit your style.
The seats are supportive, and the center console has a unique floating design with cool toggle switches and an interesting push-button shifter. However, the Huracán doesn’t offer much storage space; aside from small door pockets, there isn’t much room for personal items. There is a front trunk for luggage, but it’s best for light packing.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The Huracán is powered by a powerful 5.2-liter V-10 engine located behind the seats, producing an exciting sound as it revs up to 8,500 rpm. This engine delivers 631 horsepower in most models, while the rugged Sterrato version has a slightly lower 602-hp version.
All Huracán models come with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which shifts gears quickly on its own or when the driver uses paddle shifters. The all-wheel-drive Evo coupe we tested could go from zero to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds and complete a quarter-mile in 10.4 seconds at 135 mph. We also drove the convertible Evo Spyder, which performed just as impressively and added a bit more excitement to the experience. The Huracán Sterrato we tested reached 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and was incredibly fun to drive.
Every Huracán now features rear-wheel steering, which enhances its handling. Additionally, it has a smart system called LDVI that adjusts to how the driver is driving in real time. While we were impressed with the Tecnica’s responsive handling and smooth ride, its steering feedback wasn’t very strong at normal speeds. However, the Tecnica is still an exciting car on both the road and the track.
